The european project PhenoMeNal (Horizon 2020) launched on September 1st, 2015

Toxalim is one of the 13 partners of PhenoMeNal, a project aiming at building a e-infrastructure for analysing medical metabolic phenotype data

PhenoMeNal("A comprehensive and standardised e-infrastructure for analysing medical metabolic phenotype data") is an EU-funded project under the research and innovation program Horizon 2020. Coordinated by Germany (EMBL-EBI) and bringing together 13 partners from 9 countries, it has € 8 million for a 4 years. It was officially launched on 1st September 2015.

  • PhenoMeNal will develop a standardized e-infrastructure for analysing metabolic phenotype medical data.
  • This comprises development of standards for data exchange, pipelines, computational frameworks and resources for the processing, analysis and information-mining of the massive amount of medical molecular phenotyping and genotyping data that will be generated by metabolomics applications now entering research and clinic.

Fabien Jourdan, researcher at TOXALIM Research Centre in Food Toxicology, member of MetaboHub, Toulouse, France, will lead Inra's efforts in the framework of PhenoMeNal.
